NCG Colleagues Shortlisted for North East Chamber Inspiring Women in Business Awards
NCG's CEO Liz Bromley and colleagues from Newcastle College have been shortlisted for the North East Chamber Inspiring Women in Business Awards 2025!
The awards recognise truly inspiring women across the North East business community, and those who make a difference in their field, to their businesses and colleagues, to their community and to the wider region.
Liz Bromley has been named a contender for Business Leader of the Year, for the role she plays in inspiring and empowering colleagues across NCG.
Jo Phillips, Director of Lifelong Learning at Newcastle College is a finalist in the “Inspiring Women in Business – over 50 employees” category. Loved by colleagues and community alike, Jo’s unwavering commitment, empathy and people-first approach make her an inspiration to all.
Tehya McElvogue, Learner Engagement Consultant at Newcastle College is in the running for “Apprentice of the Year”.
Tehya's journey is an inspiring story that demonstrates the transformative power of vocational learning. As an apprentice, Tehya stood out for her drive, dedication and enthusiasm, quickly making an impact on the team. Since completing her apprenticeship with distinction, she has become a trusted and valued colleague in the department, and a passionate ambassador for apprenticeships.
