NCG Apprenticeships Council Host First Annual Away Day
NCG’s Apprenticeship Council gathered face-to-face for the first time last week, as it hosted its first annual away day.
The Apprenticeships Council is a network of colleagues from right across NCG’s professional services and colleges.
Its role is to contribute to the development of NCG’s strategies and policies related to apprenticeships, share good practice and agree areas of focus and improvement based on national policy and guidance. It is also supports each of NCG’s colleges with applications and tender opportunities.
Meeting as a group for the first time in York, the Council was joined by Jill Nichols of IFATE and Emma Stookes of DfE. The day was spent discussing apprenticeships policy, current best practice, and future thinking on ways of working.
Steven Wallis, NCG’s Executive Director of Quality said: 'The purpose of the away day was to bring the Apprenticeships Council together and, working as One NCG, build on the superb work we are doing to improve our apprenticeship delivery and outcomes.”
