Carlisle College Skills Fair Success

The annual Carlisle Skills Fair was this year hosted at Carlisle College.

The event, established and organised by Carlisle MP John Stevenson, aims to bring local employers and education, training and skills providers together under one roof to showcase what is available to young people in and around Carlisle.

This year's event also saw a visit from Work and Pensions Secretary Thérèse Coffey - pictured here being served lunch by Carlisle College's Catering and Hospitality students.

Speaking at the event, Sarah McGrath, principal at Carlisle College said: “We are so massively excited to be able to host the event. It is the first event of this scale we’ve hosted since COVID and it’s amazing to have such a buzz about the place again. There are so many exhibitors here to show people the opportunities locally, both in terms of jobs, training and courses.”
